"I just got the book in the mail from Stonewall. Thank you so much. This book is amazing. I can't wait to explore with it more. Even more than I expected. I am glad to say that I have welcomed this book to America. Keep up the great work."

Skills

Where the Techniques section describes quick, single actions, the Skills section contains generic procedures that might be repeated frequently. For example, upholstering a board requires many steps, but the procedure doesn't change much whether you're working on a small board or a large one.

Generally, instructions in the Skills section require you to adapt slightly to meet your particular circumstances. This section teaches you about installing anchor points, putting different types of handles on your paddles and upholstering. Because Turk's Head Knots require significant planning and preparation (in addition to themselves being complicated), I've put them in the Skills section.
